While educators' professional development activities become scrutinized to a higher degree, funds to support engaging and meaningful professional development dwindle. SPA's low-cost educator sessions provide local teachers, administrators and parents with opportunities to learn how to make their school environment more engaging and productive by activating the arts. Arts teacehrs as well as administrators and teachers of non-arts subjects will acquire new resources and techniques to integrate into their school practice. Plus, many sessions are facilitated by the world-class performers SPA brings to Houston. All resources correlate to the Texas Education Agency's Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.
