Les
Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo
8pm, Saturday,
January 31, 2009
Jones Hall
After 34 years, The
Trocks (as they are affectionately called)
are still going strong, presenting a playful,
entertaining view of traditional, classical
ballet in parody form and en travesti. Of
the Trocks’ second sold-out run at the
Peacock Theatre in London, The Daily Telegraph
wrote “These guys are really funny.
But they can really dance, too.” Pure
fun! |

Pilobolus
Dance Theatre

February 13, 2009
Jones Hall
Expect
the unexpected with this widely popular
contemporary dance company! “Pilobolus
is a mind-blowing troupe of wildly
creative and physically daring dancers
who leap, fly, intertwine and break
all the rules,” says Newsday.
The program will include the remounting
of Ocellus, the second work created
by the original four members. This
Pilobolus masterwork explores the
relationship between movement and
image and is one of the defining moments
in the company’s artistic development.
